About a year ago, Staples entered the 3D printing industry with their own 3D printing service. They did this in collaboration with M-Cor Technologies, a 3D printer manufacturer known for their 3D printers that print models out of office paper.
To promote their service “Staples Easy 3D” under designers, Staples teamed up with CG-Trader (an online 3D model store) and launched the Staples 3D Printing Challenge.
The idea is simple, the best and most creative design wins the challenge. The models should be specially made for MCor Iris True Color 3D printer. This 3D printer uses standard copy paper to print 3D models. Colored ink is being deposited on both sides of the paper sheet in the printing process. So in your design you can go full color! There are a few technical requirements that you have to follow.
